Q. What sort of wind-loads will the awning withstand?
A. Patio awnings are designed to give shade & should not be left out in very windy conditions. As a general rule if you are comfortable sitting out then the awning is likely to be quite safe.

Q. Can I leave the awning out in the rain?
A. You may leave the awning out in light rain but water should never be allowed to gather into a pool on the cover as the extra weight could cause damage to the hardware & fabric. If the awning is retracted when wet it is advisable to open it up at the first opportunity to allow the fabric to dry.

Q. What do I do with the awning in the winter?
A. You can just leave it in position - it will come to no harm. However, you may prefer to remove the sun awning from the wall mounting brackets to help prolong the life of the coated fabric material. Ensure that the fabric is dry before storing the awning in the dry of a good shed or garage that has plenty of ventilation.
