Large Granite Boulders that occur naturally in The South West of England
We are able to source these huge weathered granite boulders that can be incorporated into a wide range of landscape features. They come in a huge diversity of really interesting shapes and sizes. They are NOT suitable for your average house back garden rockery but will make stunning features where there is sufficient access and visual space so that they can be properly appreciated. There have been exciting centres created for roundabouts to create visual interest to town and city access routes. Groups of three create outstanding focal points for water parks, recreation areas, modern office and factory buildings frontages and as individual menhir's or standing stones.
Some of them are naturally dished and can form unique water features in a larger landscape as a truly magnificent focal point. Others have more interesting long forms that can be seen as recumbent figures or more Japanese style when used with gravels in clean simple architectural and landscape designs.
Each stone is an individual and no two are the same. They come with as much natural lichen and moss still attached as can be retained during the process of getting them out of the ground and the field where they are sometimes partially buried. Many of them weigh in excess of 4 tonnes and need a heavy-duty lifting crane to put them into position.
It is possible to arrange for you to visit the supplier and to select specific stones to include in your specific landscaping or water feature design scheme.

They are, very heavy and therefore require specialist transport and craning into place as you can see from the scale of the workmen on the standing stone being craned into place below.
Please click on the images to see them as larger pictures. The sketch below is one that shows the detail provided by our contacts for any specific granite stone depending upon your design and grouping needs. |
