Construction

We partner with a number of different local garden construction business' that can carry out a project from start to finish. Drainage, new ground levels, pond excavations, footings, retaining features, timber, concrete block, brick and stonework as required. All types of paving and ground surfaces from block paving, slabs, random, natural York stone, gravels, slate, bark mulches and lawns.

Tree Surgery

We use qualified and recommended contractors for all major tree work. They have the equipment and additional knowledge to be able to deal with all aspects from topping, raising the crown, thinning, removing epicormic growth, and felling.

Stump removal if required can be carried out by grinding or digging out depending upon the requirements and location.

Advisory Service

We offer an on-site advisory service. This is a fee-based scheme on an hourly rate plus travel time & expenses. We are able to review existing garden features such as ponds, lawns, borders, patios, hedges and provide either verbal guidance on site or a more detailed appraisal with a report and annotated action plan.

We take great satisfaction in advising the best way to recover overgrown gardens, restoring decorative and fruit trees, thinning and re-shaping shrubs and re-establishing herbaceous flower borders to their former glory. Pleached or pollarded varieties such as Lime, Beech & Hornbeam can be restored. Our partner teams also plant and set up training posts & wires for newly planted pleached tree screens. Re-sculpting topiary or unkempt yew or box hedging can take time to regenerate but is well worth the wait.

Our partners carry out seasonal planting of trees, hedges, shrubs & flower borders. They undertake the preparation and planting of both natural country style mixed specie hedges and more formal garden single specie planting such as Yew, Box, Beech, Hornbeam, Privet, Holly etc.

Generally we will design the appropriate scheme and we will recommend a local qualified electrician to carry out all connections and to provide certification for you. The new "Part P" building control regulations stipulate that all external electrical works must be carried out by competent personnel and a certificate issued to the householder. It is very likely that you will need this when selling the property in the future.
